MASON CITY — Lois Marie Morris, 96, of Mason City, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Good Shepherd Health Care Center. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lois lived a life centered on her family, her Christian faith and the simple joys of friendship, fellowship and helping others.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 419 North Delaware Avenue in Mason City, with the Rev. Karl Bollhagen officiating. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lois’s honor.

MASON CITY — Tom L. Zea, 76, a longtime Mason City resident and retired railroad worker who treasured his family, friendships, automobiles and trips to Colorado, died Friday, November 6, 2026, at his home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue in Mason City. A time of sharing memories will begin at 5:30 p.m. No additional funeral or burial services were announced.

GARNER — Verna Mae Eggerth, 95, of Garner, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose life was shaped by hard work on the family farm, a love of gardening and an extraordinary dedication to her Christian faith, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Concord Care Center in Garner, surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong northern Iowan, she raised five children, including two sets of twins, and was remembered for her home-cooked meals, generous spirit and deep love for her family.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 First Avenue North in Clear Lake. A private family graveside service will take place at Concord Township Cemetery in Garner.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in Verna Mae’s memory.

SUMNER — Larry Dean Craun, 88, of Sumner, a longtime John Deere employee, farmer and talented accordion player whose music brought generations of family and friends together, died Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Cobblestone Court Assisted Living in Sumner, surrounded by his family.

A private family service will be held. Memorial contributions in Larry’s name may be directed to SEMS, the Methodist Church in Sumner or St. Croix Hospice. No public visitation or funeral service has been announced.

SUMNER — Linda Ann Yungtum, 72, a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church whose love of family, flowers and animals brought joy to those around her, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at her home in Sumner, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 324 E. First Street in Sumner, with Rev. Tracy Hinkel officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Sumner. Visitation will take place at the church from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, preceding the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to SEMS, St. John Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.

ESTHERVILLE — Mark Anthony Clark, 68, a lifelong resident of Estherville, Iowa, who enjoyed familiar routines, watching television and attending bingo gatherings, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at his home.

Private services will be held for Mark’s family. Friends and loved ones may share memories and condolences through Henry-Olson Funeral Home and Crematory’s online tribute page.

CLEAR LAKE — Richard “Dick” Leroy Kaduce, 95, of Clear Lake, a Korean War veteran and longtime Iowa Department of Natural Resources employee whose career took him to several of the state’s treasured parks, passed away November 3, 2026, at Oakwood Care Center. A devoted outdoorsman with a memorable sense of humor, Kaduce spent much of his life appreciating the natural beauty of Iowa and sharing his love of hunting and fishing.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 First Avenue North in Clear Lake, with Lay Minister Al Berge officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., one hour before the service.

Inurnment will follow at Clear Lake Cemetery, where members of Clear Lake VFW Post 4868 will provide full military honors in recognition of Kaduce’s service to his country. A luncheon will follow the graveside services.

MASON CITY — Donald “Don” Nelson, 89, a longtime Mason City City Council member, former YMCA executive director and familiar figure in local government whose decades of public service touched generations of northern Iowans, passed away peacefully at his Mason City home on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, under the care of MercyOne North Iowa Hospice. Nelson, who represented Mason City’s Third Ward for 12 years, was known for his willingness to speak his mind, his commitment to local recreation and youth programs, and his dedication to the people he served.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third Street NE in Mason City, with Pastor Beverly Butler of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.
