AREDALE, IOWA – Vandals struck a welcome sign in the town of Aredale, Iowa last night, mayor Jeremy Minnier confirmed this morning.
“It just happened last night,” Minnier confirmed.
The saddest part of the story is that Minnier and a few other volunteers had worked this weekend to landscape the sign area and plant flowers in preparation for a new sign that is coming, procured by grant dollars.
“They snapped the posts, not covered by the grant,” Minnier said. The vandals also roughed up and broke much of the new landscaping blocks surrounding the sign.
Minnier said the vandals will not deter the efforts of volunteers.
“We’ll be right back there fixing it,” he said.
Anyone with information on who is responsible for the vandalism is asked to contact the Butler County Sheriff at (319) 267-2410.
Morons like that always brag to their other moron friends. Ask around , then make the terds repair and pay for all the damage and clean the entire area up for the rest of the year while one of ’em parades back and forth wearing a sandwich board stating ” We’re the morons that did this. Or just kick the s–t outa them!

Fear not, communities of people with attitudes like Marcus can never survive. They fall apart at the seams, and will always be dependant on others for excessive support. The only hope is IF they grow up and mature.
